            <description><![CDATA[ Dear yachtsman,<br />

<br />
This year, <b>the Senior Games</b> will be organized in September 2009 in the Dutch province Zeeland, and an estimated 3.000 athletes 50 years and older from all over Europe are expected to join. <br />
Participants will compete during this Multi-sport Event in no less than 21 major sports. This event is the first of its kind in Europe, a unique opportunity for the Netherlands. <br />
<br />
Sailing is one of the main sports in the Senior Games 2009 program. Beneath one can find the specific information concerning the sailing competition.<br />
<br />
<b>Program*</b><br />
There will be 10 races at the Senior Games 2009<br />
First race:	Monday 7th of September<br />
Last race: 	Tuesday 10th of September<br />
* The organization has the right to change the program at all time<br />
<br />
<b>Conditions</b><br />
The event is open to those in possession of a valid license.<br />
<br />
<b>Venue</b><br />
Race area is the Grevelingenmeer. The Grevelingenmeer is a salt water lake, without current. Boatpark and launch facilities are located at the harbour in the middle of the city of Brouwershaven.<br />

            <description><![CDATA[ Andy Gratton of Fon du Lac, Wisconsin has recorded a great GPS Speed Session on Feb 3 while Ice Boating on Green Lake.<br />

Results are as follows:<br />

Maximum GPS Speed:    54.55 knots<br />
<br />
Best Ten Second Interval:     53.34 knots<br />
<br />
Average of 5 Best Ten Second Runs:     52.3 knots<br />
<br />
These GPS files were verified by the US Time Keeper Craig Bergh, and also by the World Time Keeper Roger van Tongeren.<br />

            <description><![CDATA[ Hi Guys. Great to see this forum get started. I will follow it with interest to see what is happening in the midwest. <br />
We are in our summer now and have had a few good days so far at Sandy Point, Australia, but the normal regular strong Easterlies have deserted us so far. I guess you guys are thinking about ice sailing and I guess a few are actually braving the cold to do it. :D<br />
